Foreword

Assalamualaikumwarahmatullahi wbt.

For the past two years, the unprecedented pandemic has put on hold many preservation measures and
tourism activities in the state of Pahang, notably of those revolving around our popular tourist attraction
– Cameron Highlands. Hopefully, as the pandemic transitions to an endemic, we’ll see a lot more visitors
to Taman Eko-Rimba Mossy Forest (TER Mossy Forest) especially with facilities that were recently
upgraded and installed for the convenience and comfort for all visitors.

I applaud the continuous effort and dedication of Pahang State Forestry Department (Pahang SFD) in their
preservation efforts of Taman Negeri Cameron Highland’s natural beauty which is home to many floras
and faunas, some of which are listed as endangered species. I also would like to take this opportunity to
show my appreciation in their mission to promote Pahang’s ecotourism with what Cameron Highlands
has to offer. This resulted in the TER Mossy Forest gaining international attention as one of the must visit
spots in Malaysia for its alluring and mysterious charm. With this, the Pahang state government is fully
committed in building and promoting TER Mossy Forest as the main tourism attraction par international
excellence both locally and abroad.

I’m taking this opportunity to once again congratulate Pahang SFD on the successful publication of this
wonderful masterpiece. I would like to extend my thanks to the entire project team as well as those
involved directly and indirectly for their ceaseless dedication in creating awareness on TER Mossy Forest
with beautiful photographs and knowledge in order to promote Cameron Highlands as one of the must-go
travel destinations.
